Our intention is to create an inclusive “container” to practice for local people; all are welcome regardless of belief or faith. This is a place to encourage each other in our practice. All newcomers are welcome to arrive at 6:45 on any Sunday for an orientation. You are welcome to bring your own meditation cushion or use the many props provided at Shoals Yoga. **Please note that because of the nature of this offering we cannot welcome late arrivals (after 7 pm).
Ian (“Kyodo”) Loeppky has been a Zen practitioner and student for over ten years; he studies with Zen master George (“Bo Mun”) Bowman through the Single Flower Sangha, from whom he took the Dharma precepts in 2017. While not formally a “teacher” in the Zen tradition, he is an avid student, lifelong beginner, and dedicated helper for those interested in this path. He has lived and worked in Florence for sixteen years.
